Monday: "Gracious God, on this Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who have bravely given their lives for our freedom. May their sacrifice be a reminder to us of the precious gift of liberty and the importance of peace. Bless the families of those we honor today, and grant them comfort and strength. We pray for peace throughout the world, and for the continued safety of those who serve our nation. In Your name, we pray. Amen."

VBS is June 8-12 (Sunday through Thursday) from 5-7:30pm at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Supper is provided each night. Hosted by Amery Ministerium, this is open to youth pre-K through 5th grade. (Older kids can be helpers!) Find more information on Facebook at Amery Community VBS for registration details.

VBS is free to attend, but a free-will offering is humbly and graciously accepted (suggested donation is $20/child). Donations can be brought to VBS, checks made out to First Lutheran Church, with VBS in the memo line.

Time to start thinking about Bible Camp.
Men in Mission will pay for our kids going to our camp (Luther Point).
Our church will help pay for Wapo.

Community Need:

In our narthex, we are collecting these items for the Food Shelf: Cereal & hearty soups. Baskets are in the narthex.
We will also be collecting items for the Salvation Army. Lists of needs are available.

YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED to Zach Osero's Graduation Party on Sunday, June 8th, from 1-4p at the Amery Community Center. Thank you for supporting and encouraging him as he entertained playing piano, handbells, and trumpet for these past years!
